Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande graced the stage at CinemaCon 2025 in Las Vegas on April 2. The pair were there to promote their upcoming film “Wicked: For Good,” the sequel to their 2024 hit film “Wicked.”
Both Erivo and Grande opted for black velvet or suede pumps. Erivo’s textural style hailed from Christian Louboutin and featured blood-red bottoms, pointed toes and stiletto heels standing at around 4 to 5 inches. The singer’s shoe pick was similar to Louboutin’s Kate Max 100 silhouette, but according to the luxury footwear brand, Erivo wore a pair of custom Hot Chick pumps to the event.
Grande’s footwear pick was very similar, featuring pointed toes, textural jet-black uppers and stiletto heels. Her shoes were also custom, wearing a pair of tailor-made Jimmy Choo Romy pumps. The soles of Grande’s pumps were neutral in nature, contrasting with Erivo’s bright red soles. The matching footwear offered the duo’s looks a cohesiveness.
Erivo went for a full Alaïa look, complete with a hood and free-flowing trousers. Accompanying her all-black ensemble, the thespian sported gold Alaïa jewelry. Grande sported a black satin and velvet minidress featuring a flouncy hemline. Swarovski jewelry offered Grande’s look a high-shine finish. Both parties look coordinated well with one another.
When it comes to shoes, Grande often opts for platform sandals and pumps by Versace, Givenchy and GCDS. Stiletto pumps from Jimmy Choo and Giuseppe Zanotti are also common in her red carpet rotation. When off-duty, the “Positions” singer can be seen in Laurence Decade and Sergio Rossi ankle boots, as well as Prada and Ugg slippers.
Erivo has always had a particularly head-turning sense of style both on and off the red carpet. Since starring role in the 2024 film “Wicked,” the British thespian has upped her footwear game, including platform styles galore paired with seemingly impossible stiletto heels. Her favorite brands include Christian Louboutin, Schiaparelli, Thom Browne, Marc Jacobs and Jimmy Choo.
