Ariana Grande Keeps Up ‘Wicked’ Style Streak in Custom Emerald Green Jimmy Choo Romy Pumps at 36th Annual Palm Springs Film Festival Awards

Ariana Grande attended the 36th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Film Awards at Palm Springs Convention Center on Jan. 03, 2025, in Palm Springs, Calif. Beyond Grande, notable attendees included top actresses like Angelina Jolie, Selena Gomez, Nicole Kidman, Zoe Saldana, Demi Moore, Cynthia Erivo, Mikey Madison and Amy Adams, among others.
The “Dangerous Woman” songstress graced the festival in a pair of custom Jimmy Choo Romy pumps. The designer pick featured emerald satin uppers, likely a nod to “Wicked” and the film’s famed “Emerald City.” Sharp triangular toes gave way to arched soles embossed with the brand’s logo. Stiletto heels standing at around 3 to 4 inches rounded out the set.
The traditional Romy silhouette comes in two heel heights, 3.3 inches and 3.9 inches. The shoe is quite simple in composition. The emerald satin uppers offer a departure from the classics, offering textural interest and a unique pop of color. Jimmy Choo’s Romy pumps traditionally come in a slew of colorways including “Ivory,” “Black,” “Rose Pink” and “Gold.”
Accompanying her whimsical footwear, the “7 Rings” singer donned a custom Louis Vuitton gown, also in a shiny emerald hue. The garment featured a strapless bodice and a flared sculptural skirt meant to mimic the bubble her “Wicked” character “Glinda” rides in.
When it comes to shoes, Grande often opts for platform sandals and pumps by Versace, Givenchy and GCDS. Stiletto pumps from Jimmy Choo and Giuseppe Zanotti are also common in her red carpet rotation. When off-duty, the “Positions” singer can be seen in Laurence Decade and Sergio Rossi ankle boots, as well as Prada and Ugg slippers.
The cast of “Wicked” also includes Michelle Yeoh, Jonathan Bailey, Bowen Yang and Jeff Goldblum. The adaptation acts as a prequel to “The Wizard of Oz,” and recounts everything that happened before Dorothy made her way down the yellow brick road.
