Ariana Grande Adds Glamour To Cozy Airport Dressing in Dreamy Cream Valentino Bowow Pumps in Japan
Ariana Grande imbued comfortable travel attire with designer elegance in a practical yet beautiful ivory-colored pair of Valentino Garavani Bowow pumps while at the Tokyo Airport today.
The “thank u, next” singer’s coquette shoes are made of smooth goat leather with a petite 1.75-inch block heel, almond-shaped toe and leather bow. The heel features the Italian brand’s signature brass “V” logo, and the insole hides an artful floral design. She paired the feminine footwear with ivory lace tights and an oversized black collarless jacket.

Pumps are a classic women’s shoe style that have remained a red carpet favorite for their versatility and elegance. Pointed-toe pumps with a slim stiletto are a popular variation of the shoe, and have increased in popularity in recent years, thanks to pointy toes coming back into trend after their heyday in the 80s and ’90s.
The Valentino Bowow pumps evoke the recent reemergence of the ballet flat trend with their round-toe and bow-detailing, paired with a trendy block heel. Ballet flats as an everyday women’s shoe style emerged in the ’50s, and soon caught on as a comfortable medium between heels and sneakers. Prestigious designers including Manolo Blahnik, Chanel, Valentino, Yves Saint Laurent, Dior, and Gianvito Rossi all feature a variety of pumps in their shoe collections.
Grande’s style is flirty, feminine and playful, and her footwear also reflects that, as she often coordinates her looks with head-turning stiletto pumps and heels from Versace, Givenchy, GCDS, Jimmy Choo and Giuseppe Zanotti. During the oft-viral “Wicked” press run, Grande channeled the ethereal femininity and pink palate of her character Glinda. Pointed-toe stiletto pumps were the shoe for her in 2024. To match her Glinda-inspired pink designer frocks, she donned pink pumps on more than one occasion this year, in addition to many pairs of white pumps and even custom Thom Browne crystal-adorned pumps.
