Christian Louboutin Cassia Lace UpChristian Louboutin

Grande appeared to be wearing Louboutin’s Cassia Lace Up pump, which takes inspiration from ballet slippers. Crafted with shiny crepe satin, the shoes feature a square toe reminiscent of a pointe shoe, in addition to a dainty bow on the edge of the upper. A grosgain trim contributes to the look while a 100 mm stiletto heel gives the wearer a significant boost.

Leaving the sides of the foot exposed, the silhouette falls into the D’Orsay category. Further leaning into the aesthetic of ballet footwear, a glossy ribbon wraps around the ankle and ties into a bow in back. The Cassia Lace Up is also available in a Blush color that evokes a dancerly energy. Both hues retail for $1,095 from the French luxury brand.

Not only does “Wicked” feature plenty of interesting shoe moments, but the press tour for the film brought about a number of noteworthy looks for both Grande and her co-star Cynthia Erivo as they channeled the distinctive energies of Glinda and Elphaba. Grande typically wore pink and other light hues as she promoted the film; she had shoes from Gianvito Rossi, Aldo, Thom Browne and more brands to fit in with this aesthetic. Their sartorial marketing choices seemed to have paid off as the Jon M. Chu film has already made more than $215 million at the domestic box office since it premiered.
