Mugler is going all in on Casey Cadwallader’s Fang shoe series. At the Paris-based brand’s spring 2025 presentation, front row celebrities almost uniformly wore variations on the style. Cardi B notably wore the brand’s classic pump from the Fang series for a villainous effect. But others like Anitta, Normani and Laverne Cox opted to go with the trends and slid into mule versions.
The Fang series was introduced by Cadwallader in his first shoe collection for the label earlier this year. Crafted in Italy, the shoe is characterized by its sharpness: a pointed toe box and also a point coming off the back of the foot. Sometimes, there is also a pointed vamp. In addition, the stiletto itself is sculpted with a flared base.
Karol G wore one an open-toe mule version as early as October 2023 to the spring 2024 show. Today, Anitta wore a pair of leather pointed-toe mules from the series. She paired it with a black mini dress featuring a bodice. It also features a fanning embellishment emerging from the bodice.
The leather fang mule is being sold for $755.
Laverne Cox, a noted Mugler fan, also wore a black dress and sheer tights. Over it she wore a fringe top. The mules, with their silver Fang stiletto, anchored the ensemble.
While Normani’s footwear was mostly obstructed from view underneath a pair of wide legged trousers, the tips were still viewable. From them, the Fang’s signature pointed toe as well as pointed vamp could be seen. From the tip of the vamp to the tip of the toe runs a seam.
Instead of leather, Normani and her stylist Lorenzo Posocco had chosen the black Fang mule in suede. They are available for $940. The heel on the suede style is black, unlike the leather style which is silver.
