Angelina Jolie has arrived in Italy ahead of the 81st Venice International Film Festival, where her feature “Maria” is set to premiere in competition. Out in Venice on Aug. 27, Jolie exuded her usual aura of cool in a trench coat and heeled black leather boots.
Jolie looked classically chic as she made her way around Italy’s floating city. In a summery variation of a wardrobe staple, her beige trench coat featured crisply cuffed elbow-length short sleeves. The double-breasted coat was also cinched at the waist with a matching belt, adding a feminine touch to the timeless piece. She seemed to be wearing this over a long black skirt, which peeked underneath the coat to create a layered look.
Jolie heightened the ensemble with a pair of heeled black leather boots, seemingly designed by Celine. They featured a pointed toe and a slanted block heel which added an angular outline to the outfit. Accentuating the design were thin straps crossing in an X-shape along the front and a gold buckle on the side. The boots were also made with leather that folded to create a slouchy effect — similar to FKA Twigs’ red suede Paris Texas boots she recently wore in New York. In line with Jolie’s trench coat, the boots contributed to her air of urban sophistication.

Celebrating Broadway’s “The Outsiders” earlier this year, she wore red heeled peep-toe sandals, pairing them with a satiny gold dress. She is also known to elevate her classic taste with a traditional black pump.
