Angela Bassett attended the Elizabeth Taylor Ball to End AIDS at The Beverly Hills Hotel held in Los Angeles yesterday. Bassett acted as the host of the night alongside Courtney B. Vance.
Reaching new heights, the “Black Panther” star sported a pair of towering black platform sandal heels. Although they were hard to see over the hem of her dress, the footwear featured satin black uppers, breezy rounded open toes and sky-high platform soles that gave the thespian a substantial boost.
Bassett’s footwear was secured in place thanks to thin but sturdy straps that sat across the tops of her toes and around her ankles. 4 to 5-inch block heels rounded out the lofty set. Many celebrities are a fan of platform styles, Bassett included.
Shining bright, Bassett was outfitted in a Dolce & Gabbana metallic silver gown featuring an asymmetrical and criss-crossing bodice and a billowing pleated floor-sweeping skirt that eclipsed her footwear. Rounding out her look, the actress toted a silver rectangular clutch in a structural style along with dazzling Bulgari jewelry.
Bassett is known for bringing the pizzazz on and off the red carpet. The “9-1-1” star has an affinity for bold hues, monochrome moments, sophisticated classics and printed pantsuits. As for footwear, she’s likely to complete her wardrobe with sharp pumps, an open-toe silhouette, block-heeled sandals, and towering heels.
