Andie MacDowell has been busy on the press circuit this month promoting the third season of Hallmark’s hit time-travel series “The Way Home.”
Stopping by “The Tonight Show” to discuss the show with host Jimmy Fallon on Thursday, MacDowell showed off a chic dress paired with strappy sandals. The actress wore a shoulder-baring frock featuring a neutral-tone paisley print throughout with gold metallic stripes and ruffling along the top. Crafted from a subtly sheer material, the long-sleeve dress was complete with a tiered skirt that hit around the ankle to reveal her shoes.
As she walked out to meet Fallon, the hemline of her flouncy dress brushed against the slender ankle straps of her sandals. The “Four Weddings and a Funeral” actress opted for Saint Laurent’s Salomé wedges in satin crepe and metallic leather.
The newly released YSL style, which retails for $1,050, is designed with a pointy almond toe and black crisscrossed ankle straps that fasten via a tiny gold buckle. A contrasting “sun gold” wedge heel measuring 4.3 inches makes the sandals stand out, setting them apart from the countless other strappy black styles from various luxury brands.
“Emilia Pérez” star Zoe Saldana paired the same style with a mustard yellow dress last month at the Golden Globes First-Time Nominee Luncheon. Saint Laurent is one of the most popular brands that celebrities and their stylists often reach for when it comes to footwear. Kate Moss, Gwyneth Paltrow and Zoë Kravitz are just a few who frequently wear shoes from the brand. “One of Them Days” star Keke Palmer just slipped into the brand’s chainlink-embellished Severine pump for a “Good Morning America” appearance.
Belgian-Italian fashion designer Anthony Vaccarello has been at the helm of Saint Laurent since he was appointed as creative director in 2016. Vaccarello’s first design experience out of school saw him working for the late Karl Lagerfeld at Fendi in 2009. He has become known for his va-va-voom designs.
