Alicia Keys went on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” to promote a new Broadway musical inspired by her life on Monday. For the appearance, Keys pulled out a pair of white leather boots with a touch of added glamour.
The singer is currently promoting “Hell’s Kitchen,” a coming-of-age jukebox musical that tells the story of Keys’s life in the early 1990s. The project features music by the star, who wore a blue denim bomber jacket and Blue Cult’s Gwyneth cargo jeans with oversized pockets for her interview.
For shoes, Keys wore a pair of boots. Featuring a pointed toe, the white leather footwear is a single-sole style. It comes from the company Charles & Keith.
The ankle boots feature a zipper for ease of use and are ankle-high. The distinctive part of the design is the heel, which is about three inches: the brass-toned heel is a block style featuring detailing that makes it appear as if it is braided.
Although the shoe is not currently available in white, Charles & Keith still offers the boot in black. That version is now $66.
The “If I Ain’t Got You” hitmaker is a noted fan of boots. For the colder scene, she is often spotted in suede styles like a pair of black suede knee-high boots she wore while performing an impromptu performance in London in December. She also has a pair of brown suede platform boots with a lug sole that she wore to the Broadway premiere of “The Outsiders.”
More recently, she’s been opting for other shoe styles. She slid into a pair of classic black suede pumps in April for the opening night of “Hell’s Kitchen.” Last week, when she made her stop at “The Kelly Clarkson Show” she opted for sneakers, reaching for a pair of Retro Nike Off-White shoes.
