Making a bold fashion statement last night, Alicia Keys embraced the darker undertones of Zoe Kravitz’s directorial debut “Blink Twice” to attend the film’s Aug. 8 premiere in Los Angeles. The “Hell’s Kitchen” producer wore sharp black heeled boots with a matching skirt and top set from Farm Rio.
The Grammy winner arrived in style, dressed in a monochrome set consisting of a black crop top with a sweetheart neckline and straps detailed with scalloped edges. The long skirt, meanwhile, fell to her ankles and was designed with three layers, each featuring another version of scalloped trim. The skirt and top were stitched with an intricate design including small floral appliqués. Keys accessorized with dangling heart-shaped earrings and a few rings across both hands.
The musician rounded out the look with a pair of classic black boots. The material appeared to have a soft matte quality, indicating the boots were covered in a suede-like fabric. The shoes featured a sharp triangular pointed toe, contributing an elevated air of stylish formality to the outfit. While the hem of Keys’ skirt obscured the top of her boots, they appeared to be at least ankle-length. Meanwhile, a lighter hue was featured on the thin heel, adding a bright flash to the dark ensemble.

The “If I Ain’t Got You” singer likes a suede boot, having worn beige platforms to support Angelina Jolie at the after party for the Broadway show “The Outsiders.” Supporting her own Broadway venture “Hell’s Kitchen,” which is semi-autobiographical, Keys stepped out in black pumps to attend opening night in April and later slid on red Gucci slingback pumps for the Tony Awards in June.
Kravitz’s thriller starring her fiancé Channing Tatum is set for theatrical release on Aug. 23. Also in attendance at the premiere were Kravitz’s “Big Little Lies” co-stars Reese Witherspoon and Laura Dern, who also wore all-black outfits. Kravitz herself wore a satiny floor-length black gown with cut-outs and pointed black heels.
