Alanis Morissette and Renée Rapp lit up the stage of “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest” in Las Vegas with an electric performance bridging generations of music — and, unsurprisingly, they did so in style.
The “Ironic” singer looked chic as ever in a pair of belted wide-leg sequined black pants and a sheer long sleeve top also patterned with tiny reflective discs; this was layered over a simple scoop neck black top. She brought in a shock of color with her sneakers, a bold blue low-top pair seemingly hailing from Aloha. Her shoes resembled the brand’s TB.490 style; featuring suede and nylon, the Rife Sheen Blue version of the shoe features a blue and white upper set above a beige rubber sole. White accents are introduced through the laces, the heel and a distinctive linear design in front. The shoes are currently available for pre-order at a price of $170.
Meanwhile, Rapp also made a strong impression on stage with a brown coat in a leather-like material accented by voluminous beige furry trim. The coat was cinched at the waist with a belt and paired with black pants designed with a bell bottom silhouette. For her footwear, the “In the Kitchen” singer opted for a pair of black shoes with a hefty lug sole. The set featured a narrow square toe which drew attention to the style. The chunky sole was also embellished with a row of studs along the edge, contributing a touch of edgy glamour to her look.
The shoe choice isn’t surprising for the “Mean Girls” star — back in April while taking the stage at Coachella, Rapp displayed her appreciation for a bold black shoe with Coach’s calf-high Tara boots. Showcasing another footwear style at the Academy Museum Gala in October, she wore a pair of elegant white pointed-toe pumps.
