Addison Rae Stuns In Thom Browne Mermaid Dress and Platforms at the 2024 CFDA Fashion Awards

Addison Rae is in her “Little Mermaid” era. Hot off of the release of her new song “Aquamarine,” the singer arrived at the 2024 CFDA Fashion Awards in a dress inspired by the mythical creature.

Rae wore a mermaid dress designed by Thom Browne. The corset-like top half of the dress wrapped tightly around her waist and fell right at her hips, peplum style. This ruffle toward the bottom highlighted her hourglass frame, emphasizing her waist and bloomed out at the hips, leading into a curve hugging embellished skirt which flared out at the bottom.

She accessorized the look with sky-high platforms in gray, which peeked through a slit on the front of the dress, and paired that a conch shell as a hand bag. The heels, likely also designed by Thom Browne, featured a tall platform and a zipper that ran through the shoe’s upper. She wore her newly blonde hair in loose, semi-wet, beach waves that framed her face, along with a dainty pearl necklace. The jewelry was Mikimoto’s Fusion Akoya and Black South Sea Cultured Pearl Strand with Diamond Rondelles.

Rae recently turned heads at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards wearing a white lingerie-like set custom-made by Miss Claire Sullivan. The satin padded bra and panty set lined with scalloped trim ended up being one of the most talked about ensembles of the night.
