Addison Rae Becomes Miu Miu Girl In Wrinkled Polka Dot Set and Cult-Favorite Strappy Slingback Shoes

Addison Rae has switched it up. After making a splash with new stylist Dara Allen in a slightly kooky, custom Claire Sullivan lingerie set and tutu for MTV’s Video Music Awards, she’s gone slightly more sedate for the Miu Miu spring 2025 show during Paris Fashion Week today. The star wore a layered look, which included a polka dot shirt and skirt set alongside a pair of cult-favorite Miu Miu shoes.

The shoes were Miu MIu’s patent leather strappy slingbacks in crimson. The shoes feature a pointed toe and a heel of just over four inches. They are instantly identifiable for their strappy design which features three thin straps across the foot that each sport a goldtone buckle. In addition, the slingback which goes around the back of the foot also sports a goldtone buckle.

The shoe has been wildly popular since its release. Last fall Gigi Hadid, Emily Ratajkowski and Zaya Wade were all photographed wearing them. Later, at Cannes this year Nicky Hilton wore a pair and they’ve also been knocked off by high street brands. It is a part of the ongoing trend of slingback styles that has had 2024 in a chokehold. It also seems to wink at the secondary strappy sandals trend which has been picking up steam recently.

Miu Miu’s leather slingbacks with buckles is still available for $1,290.

For the rest of Rae’s look, she pulled from the fall 2024 collection. The look was layered with a polka dot cropped shirt layered over a white crepe satin and ladder fabric shirt. She also wore a knee-length pencil skirt layered similarly. The crepe satin and later fabric created a purposefully wrinkled effect.

Rae also carried the brand’s Aventure bag featuring a top handle, all done in black leather with goldtone hardware.

The musician is certainly no stranger to slingbacks or designer Miuccia Prada who launched Miu Miu.In fact, in March of 2023 she wore a pair of red slingbacks from Prada, a brand that Miuccia Prada also heads. Images of that look, which features a more classic slingback that included a sharp, pointed toe, were posted online.
