Director Sam Taylor-Johnson and actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson attended the world premiere of the former’s new film “Back to Black” today in London. The couple coordinated their footwear, walking the red carpet in black leather sandals and loafers.
Sam Taylor-Johnson wore black leather mules, which are shoes with an open back and no strap or heel constraint. The shoe style is most often thought of in its closed-toe variety, though it can also be an open-toed silhouette featuring a thick strap across the top of the foot.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson donned black loafers with a high vamp, resembling dress shoes, and a croc-embossed finish.
Both Taylor-Johnsons are known for wearing staple footwear pieces. In August 2022, Aaron wore a pair of Gucci loafers with a small heel to the premiere of his film “Bullet Train” once again coordinating with an all-black outfit. On the same press tour, he went casual. He has been seen off duty in a more relaxed shoe, including Nike and Adidas sneakers.
“Back to Black” which follows the making of Amy Winehouse’s hit album of the same name. The movie will premiere on May 17 in the U.S.
