The Gotham Awards, hosted by the Gotham Film and Media Institute, celebrates achievements in the world of film. From Zendaya to Angelina Jolie, a myriad of stars dressed to the nines for the occasion, which unfolded at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City on Dec. 2. Of course, a slew of striking shoes could be seen at the venue — see some of the best footwear looks from the evening below.
Zendaya
Zendaya was outfitted for the occasion in a custom Louis Vuitton dress in white satin and matching platform sandals from Jimmy Choo. She wore the luxury brand’s Max style, which features a rounded toe and a curved strap across the toes.
Angelina Jolie
Jolie wore a demure vintage Pierre Balmain gown, which featured velvet trim along satiny fabric hanging elegantly from her frame. With this dress she wore a pair of black strappy platform sandals from Aquazzura — unsurprisingly, since she’s selected platform sandals from the brand for film festival appearances in recent times.
Pamela Anderson
Anderson was dressed in a custom Oscar de la Renta gown crafted from a sleek champagne-colored fabric. The dress was strapless and made a statement with a cape and bow in back. Her shiny pumps were an ideal color match and featured a pointed toe aligning with the angular cut of the upper.
Misty Copeland wore a silky cream colored set from Contessa Mills consisting of a long belted skirt and a cropped blazer. Gold was her accent of choice for the evening, and her shoes aligned with this — the ballerina donned a pair of metallic gold pointed pumps which matched her jewelry and purse.
Misty Copeland
Chastain modeled a custom dress by Gucci at the event; it was a floor-length halter gown in an off-white hue with a rounded gold hardware feature wrapping around the neck. She brought out this metallic neckline detail of her dress by slipping on a pair of gold platform sandals which featured a block heel and a strap that allowed the toes to be seen.
