Paris Jackson served up a gothic high-low dress at the Vanity Fair Oscars 2023 party in Los Angeles on Sunday night.
Jackson arrived in a black couture Giambattista Valli gown styled by Mikiel Benyamin. The singer embraced the fringe and a layered train for the star-studded Oscar’s celebration.
Her strapless dress factored in pleated tulle along the ruffled neckline, additional layers throughout the skirt and embellished details covering the bodice and the train of the dress as well. She complemented her monochromatic gown with an ombre red lip and her hair slicked back behind the ears. Given the dress’s drop waist silhouette, all the volume accented the top of the skirt.
Jackson completed her look with a pair of Christian Louboutin “Cathy” sandals. The shimmering pair had a peep-toe silhouette, a tall ankle-strap for support and featured gems across the vamp of the sandal and along the platform. Finishing off with at least 5 inches in height, the heel featured the signature red Louboutin outsole.
The singer’s roster of platform pumps features golden metallic colorways such as the 5-inch Stuart Weitzman heels she wore to the “Pamela, a Love Story” Netflix premiere. Often slipping on a pair of boots, Jackson has taken to the signature Dr. Marten burgundy boot, black leather combat boots and suede beige ankle boots.
The annual Oscars celebrates film, cinematography and the artists who bring characters to life. This year, Jimmy Kimmel hosted the show. The night’s winners included Michelle Yeoh, Jamie Lee Curtis, Ke Huy Quan and Brendan Fraser. Performances included Rihanna and Lady Gaga and Stephanie Hsu.
