The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) turned into a star-studded designer affair for the institution’s 2023 Art + Film Gala, with Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton, Rosé, Salma Hayek, Lupita Nyong’o, and more A-Listers stunting on the red carpet Saturday night.
The gala honored two L.A. art legends, Chicana muralist Judy Baca and filmmaker David Fincher and was co-chaired by LAMCA trustee Eva Chow and actor Leonardo DiCaprio. Gucci came on once again as the presenting partner of the event—and glamoursly dressed many of its attendees—and Audi offered additional support, with some guests arriving in their Q8 e-tron.
In true Paris Hilton fashion, she was bedazzled from head to toe. She wore shimmery, bedazzled cream pointy-toe mules which featured crystals that sparkled silver and blue to perfectly match her intricately sequined Jenny Packham v-neck cape-sleeve Lovebird gown. Her shoes peeked out from the dress adorned in turquoise and silver beads and silver crystals, including a crystal belt detailing. She paired it with large diamond studs and her large engagement ring and a sleek, voluminous high pony. Hilton attended the gala with her parents Kathy and Richard Hilton and her husband Carter Reum.
Black Pink’s Rosé looked fun and fresh in Saint Laurent. Styled by Park Se Jun, Rose wore the French luxury house’s black patent Anouk square pointy-toe pumps with four-and-half-inch heels, sheer black tights and a one-shoulder floral mini dress. The ruched material featured yellow, green and blue flowers on a brown background, which she paired with a black patent leather purse with a gold clasp opening, black nails and her blond hair half-up.
Supermodel Heidi Klum clearly knows how to stand out and takes being the life of the party seriously. Her shoes were very on trend: fully clear pointy-toe pumps showing off her coral red pedicure. Her fun dress from Lever Couture gave the appearance of being covered in party streamers, creating a flouncy, plunging top and a floor-length skirt with side cut-outs provided by a clear latex skirt. Her long pointy nails matched her toes, and she completed the look with her hair down and large, circular diamond earrings and her hair sleek and pulled back.
“Grown-ish” star Yara Shahidi served a very glam, modern update on ladies who lunch. She wore Gucci, including mahogany patent leather pointy-toe slingback pumps with silver chain-detailed straps. She paired them with a perfectly coordinating Bamboo 1947 Mini Top Handle bag, featuring the Italian luxury label’s classic lacquered bamboo accents at the clasp and handle. The standout piece of her look was a bedazzled micro-mini skirt fringed with chandelier crystals. She paired it with an oversized white button-down blouse with tie detailing and delicate chandelier diamond earrings.
British actor and model Jodie Turner-Smith shined in glitzy Gucci. She opted for strappy black patent heeled sandals featuring crisscross straps at the ankle. She paired this with a long black skirt with a high slit and a silver crystal square-neck bra top and silver and diamond bangle bracelets. Her silver holographic pedicure and long pointy nails, glossy lip and smoky, shimmery eyes and long braids down her back brought the glowing glam together perfectly
Kim Kardashian brought electric glamor to the LACMA last night. The tip of her ultra-pointy Balenciaga Knife black calfskin pumps peeked out from the endless fabric of her hot pink satin Balenciaga 52nd Couture collection dress. The head-turning backless bustier floor-length dress featured a voluminous train that followed her as she walked. She paired it with black opera gloves, a sparkling Lorraine Schwartz diamond necklace, a smoky eye and nude lip and her hair pulled back into a sleek pony.
