As Paris Fashion Week — and Fashion Month — draws to a close, we’ve narrowed down the biggest (and smallest) street-style stars. Fashion fans have been lighting up the pavement, wearing everything from runway-ready looks (sometimes straight off the fall ’15 catwalks) to casual-cool sneakers from some of our favorite athletic brands.
Discussing the latest surge in sporty kicks, Christian Allaire, FN’s high-end men’s editor, said:
“New Balance and Converse made appearances, while the Nike x Riccardo Tisci collaboration continued to make the rounds. While designer shoes were still very present outside the shows, the focus on classic sneaker brands was refreshing in a sea of label-focused footwear. The look is indeed a riff on the normcore movement, though the looks here were styled in a more polished, less ironic fashion (no fanny packs or ratty sweaters).”
As the Chanel and Valentino shows drew crowds, FN took to the streets to see what was happening just outside the flashy runway.
Here are our top pics:
• Street style stars go pint-sized in full-on fashion (one part Carrie Bradshaw, one part toddler ballet class).
• Boots, boots, boots are back in a big way. While some have chosen to rep the runway looks — super tall and OTT, for sure — others opted for edgy pairs studded with grommets.
• Black beauties reigned on the streets, but our pick goes to a pair of disappearing heels, equipped with blink-and-you’ll-miss-’em chunky heels.
