Sarah Jessica Parker is welcoming a new family member — a feline family member, that is.

On Tuesday, Parker took to Instagram to share a photo dump with her new cat, Lotus — otherwise known as Shoe Bradshaw, the kitten adopted by Carrie Bradshaw in Season Two of “And Just Like That…” The feline first went viral in August after appearing in the season’s final episodes. In real life, Parker adopted him in April from the Connecticut Humane Society, joining his two existing siblings — Rémy and Smila — in her and Matthew Broderick’s household.

“His off-camera name is Lotus,” Parker shared in her post’s caption. “He and his siblings were all given botanical names when they were rescued as newborns by the @cthumanesociety.”

One photo notably showed Parker lifting up Lotus while inside her home gym, wearing a heathered gray sweater and blue jeans. The actress’ adoption post follows the cat’s viral appearance — seen in a series of screencaps from the show — in another Instagram photo dump by pop culture commentator, influencer and podcast host Evan Ross Katz. In fact, Katz even stated in his caption that Shoe was “High-key my favorite character,” to which Max itself responded: “Shoe Bradshaw runs this city.”

Within the program, Shoe is adopted by Carrie Bradshaw after being rescued by Che Diaz — who now works at an animal shelter. Upon warming up to the animal, Carrie names the feline “Shoe” after seeing it curled in one of her shoeboxes. For an Easter egg moment fans will surely recognize, the cat’s collar is even crafted in the shape of a nameplate necklace reading “Shoe” — just like Carrie’s own signature nameplate necklace, seen throughout both television shows and two films in the “Sex and the City” universe.

Currently, “And Just Like That…” was renewed by Max for season 3, according to Variety — notably announced on the same day as its season 2 finale, which featured a viral cameo appearance by Kim Cattrall as fan-favorite character Samantha Jones.
