Olivia Rodrigo embraced ’90s style once again at Variety’s annual “Hitmakers” brunch in Los Angeles over the weekend.
The pop star modeled a black mini dress featuring a velvet halter neckline from Thierry Mugler’s fall 1998 collection. Rodrigo coordinated the fitted frock complete with pockets at the hip with black patent leather Saint Laurent sandals.
Styled by Chloe and Chenelle Delgadillo, she donned the popular brand’s glossy “La Scandale” wedge silhouette boasting a square open toe.
The ankle-strap pumps retailing at $1,100 deliver over 4 inches of height and come in several other color combinations.

Last month, Saoirse Ronan stepped out in a similar style designed with a subtle open toe and a more prominent vamp. The patent shoes revealing only the tips of the wearer’s toes were courtesy of another celebrity-loved brand, Khaite.
Rounding out her chic all-black look, the “Drivers License” singer opted for no jewelry and wore her long brown hair pulled back into a chic ponytail for the star-studded event.
Recently, Rodrigo has been seen wearing Manolo Blahnik Veralli leather ballet flats, Stuart Weitzman’s Posh Mary Jane pumps, and Amina Muaddi Charlotte satin pumps. When she’s not wearing designer shoes, the “Deja Vu” hitmaker has been known to step out in classic Converse Chuck Taylors and boots from timeless brands like Dr. Martens boots and Frye. She often performs in chunky platform Dr. Martens boots. For Halloween this year, she dressed up as a witch and pulled her costume together with Maison Margiela’s Tabi Mary Jane leather pumps.
