Back to the Future II Day just got a lot more interesting. Nike has confirmed that the self-lacing sneaker in New York City.
According to Nike PR director Heidi Burgett in a Tweet, the self-lacing shoes made famous in the second film are somewhere in the Big Apple. Where exactly they are in NYC and when they’re being released, we’re still not certain, but will keep you all updated on what we hear.
The first pair of self-lacing Nike Mag shoes is in New York City.

Late yesterday the company made a rare move on its Twitter and tweeted at Michael J Fox, the star of the film who played Marty McFly. The reason the news is so big? Oct. 21, 2015 is the day Marty McFly and Doc. Brown travel to the future in the second film in the “Back to the Future” trilogy.

Back in January the company said it was working on creating the Air Mag, but have remained tight lipped about it otherwise.
