Kate Middleton is starting off the royals’ trip to Canada on the right foot.
The Duchess of Cambridge stepped out on Sunday wearing an Alexander McQueen white dress with red embroidery, paired with red suede pumps by Russell & Bromley.
The U.K. brand’s Pinpoint pumps retail for £165, about $214 at the current exchange rate. The McQueen dress is part of the spring ’17 collection that will hit stores next season. The duchess usually sticks with pumps in nude or black, so the red hue was a surprising departure.
When the Duke and Duchess arrived in Victoria, Canada, on Saturday, the duchess wore a custom Jenny Packham fitted dress and Gianvito Rossi suede pumps, which she has worn before.
Prince George, who waved to the waiting crowd including Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, wore Start-rite’s John leather lace-up shoes. It seems George has graduated to laceups, after wearing the brand’s buckled shoes for several years.
Today, Middleton went with a much more casual look in Penelope Chilvers knee-high tassel boots, which she also wore on the royals’ trip to India and Bhutan earlier this year.
