The Yeezy buzz isn’t dying down anytime soon, it seems.
Tomorrow, with the release of the Yeezy Season 1 collection (including that Yeezy 950 boot), and the November release of the next Yeezy sneaker, Kanye West has managed to find time to be a filmmaker.
The rapper-turned-fashion-entrepreneur just debuted a short silent film online that follows the creative process and production of his Yeezy Season 2 collection, which was shown at New York Fashion Week in September.
The film, called “Yeezy Season 2 Film,” warns in the opening: “This Documentation Has No Sound.” It’s a different approach for the usually music-fueled West, who has debuted his own new music and Sia’s in his presentations.
The film shows the painstaking detail that went into the creation of the collection, from spools of thread to casting calls.
It’s an introspective moment for West, especially on the heels of his FN Achievement Award for Shoe of the Year.
