The fashion month marathon is finally over, and there was one duo dominating the runways this season. That would be sisters, models and all-around social media stars Gigi and Bella Hadid, who were seen everywhere.
Gigi Hadid hit her first runway at New York Fashion Week in the Tommy Hilfiger show, unveiling a new collaboration with the label and walking as the official “All-American” face of the brand. She and younger sister Bella both closed out New York walking for Marc Jacobs in towering platforms.
Bella Hadid’s schedule was a bit different in New York, where she walked in the Michael Kors (and took quite the tumble) and the Ralph Lauren shows.
In Milan, the sisters seemed to cross paths frequently. Both appeared on the runway at Moschino, Versace, Max Mara and Fendi. They also walked at Bottega Veneta, where Gigi closed the show with iconic actress and fashion star Lauren Hutton to celebrate the label’s 50th anniversary.
Gigi headed to Paris to wrap up her fashion week schedule, hitting the runway at Balmain and before closing out with the Miu Miu show.
All in all, the models had a major fashion coming-out party during the spring ’17 collections. With a range of designers booking them for the runways, it’s clear Bella and Gigi have staying power, making it clear to critics and fans alike that they’re not going anywhere anytime soon.
