Bryshere Gray: Billboard Awards Performance In Adidas x Jeremy Scott
Bryshere Gray, who plays Hakeem Lyon on the hit show “Empire,” performed in gold Adidas Originals x Jeremy Scott Wings 3.0 sneakers.
Gray performed one of the show’s number one hits, “You’re So Beautiful,” alongside co-star Jussie Smollett at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards.
Smollett, in lace-up boots, was also joined on stage by Estelle to sing their song from “Empire” — “Conqueror.”
Gray most definitely channeled his character for his Billboard performance with his eye-catching footwear choice.
Hakeem Lyon is known as the “prince” of the family and dresses flashy and “totally turnt-up,” according to “Empire” costume designer Rita McGhee.
She said, “He’s the one who’d be ordering bottle service and spending money, so he has to show it in his style.” Sneaker brands used on the show include Jeremy Scott, Puma, Nike and other luxury label designers.

The “Empire” soundtrack debuted at No.1 on the Billboard 200 chart in March, and is the first TV soundtrack to debut at No. 1 since 2010.
