Stars Wear Designer Heels At The Democratic National Convention

Being tasked with speaking at a political convention can certainly be considered an honor and a huge responsibility.

So when some of Hollywood’s biggest names were given this opportunity, they put their best designer-clad foot forward. On the second day of the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, actresses Lena Dunham, America Ferrera and Elizabeth Banks spoke in support of Hillary Clinton, who on Tuesday became the first female presidential nominee of a major party in American history.

Dunham and Ferrera spoke together. Ferrera opted for a Black Halo dress paired with Sophia Webster‘s cheeky Coco Flamingo pumps in a bright red suede. Dunham paired her off-the-shoulder white Gabriela Hearst dress with Paul Andrew’s Laura sandals in an inky blue hue.

Banks chose a white Elie Saab dress for her moment onstage, paired with Bionda Castana’s Bay mesh and suede pumps.

The first night of the convention also featured some major stars. Eva Longoria wore Gianvito Rossi sandals for her speech Monday, and Demi Lovato went with a fringe, crystal-embellished pair. First lady Michelle Obama, who is receiving wide praise for her moving speech, wore a striking blue Christian Siriano dress and Jimmy Choo pumps.
