It looks like Anastasia Steele has made her debut.
Dakota Johnson, who plays Christian Grey’s submissive lover in the “Fifty Shades of Grey” film, also stars in The Weeknd’s explicit new music video “Earned It,” which is the first single released from the “Fifty Shades of Grey” original motion picture soundtrack.
Johnson is featured nearly nude, suspended from the ceiling and all tied up. Thanks to “Fifty Shades” director Sam Taylor-Johnson, who also helmed the music video, this is just a preview of what the upcoming film has in store for us.
The four-minute video features The Weeknd’s haunting song with burlesque-style dancers in the background holding ropes, wearing black heels — and not much else. But Johnson steals the show in her bondage gear, giving the music video a very S&M feel. The actress is barefoot in the vid, but when she is clothed, the actress often wears Jimmy Choos and was most recently seen at the Golden Globes wearing Jimmy Choo metallic sandals.
Even though Jamie Dornan, aka Christian Grey, isn’t featured in the racy video, we get a sense that he was just as willing to push the limits for the music clip when he told Variety, “They were privy to everything, just not my manhood.” In the Variety feature, Dornan also said, “This kind of sex — S&M — hasn’t been depicted on the big screen ever. That, in itself, is groundbreaking.”
