The Milan Fashion Week set took a break from the shows Saturday evening to gather for a good cause — the annual amfAR gala in Milan.
“I love coming to Milan during fashion week,” said Kenneth Cole, the longtime amfAR chairman and founder of his eponymous label. “It’s our chance we have to say thank you to an important part of the fashion industry who have been supportive from the very beginning because they felt they should and have stayed involved. We’ve made a big impact.”
Karolina Kurkova served as the host for the evening, while Adriana Lima helped auction off a trip to the upcoming Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, set to be held in Paris later this fall. Heather Graham was also on hand to support the cause. Italian scion Lapo Elkann was honored during the event, and Charlie XCX performed.
Part of the evening’s proceeds are being set aside to aid the victims of the recent Central Italy earthquakes.
Other designers in attendance included Gianvito Rossi, Louis Leeman, Erica Pelosini and Chiara Ferragni, who wore a gold Marco de Vincenzo dress straight off the spring ’17 runway.
