America Ferrera took a stand for kids in style.
The “Ugly Betty” actress rocked Christian Louboutin heels and a black cocktail dress when she hosted the annual Stand for Kids gala on Saturday in Los Angeles at Fox Studios’ New York City Lot.
Her champagne-tone patent leather Flo peep-toe pumps featured a 4.5-inch stiletto heel and half-inch concealed platform.
Serving as the mistress of ceremonies, the NBC “Superstore” actress was joined by her former costars Ana Ortiz and Christopher Gorham, whose alma mater UCLA reached its goal to raise more than $10 million for its Orthopaedic Institute for Children through a silent auction at the benefit.

“Chris Gorham is an incredibly talented actor who was a pleasure to work with — most days,” she joked, adding that Gorham and his wife, actress Anel Gorham, are supporters of the institute and recruited her to help with the charity campaign.

Speaking to Footwear News, the couple recalled a keepsake from the popular ABC series: Customized Converse kicks that were given out to cast and crew during a wrap party.
“I was so excited when ‘Ugly Betty’ gave everybody bright yellow Converse,” Anel shared. “On the side it had their name embroidered and the other side it said ‘Ugly Betty.’ It was such a creative and wonderful present. We’re saving them for our kids.”
The lovebirds met on the series “Popular” and have sons Lucas, 15, and Ethan, 12, and daughter Alondra, 7.
Gorham added that he cherishes another set of footwear in the household — a pair of “scrubbies” that his wife ostensibly allows him to keep.
“I have a pair of Adidas — the Goodyear version that are older than my oldest son,” he said. “They are at least 16 years old, and I still wear them.”
Former “Ugly Betty” star Ana Ortiz praised costume designer Patricia Field for the show’s enviable footwear. “I stole a few, of course,” she admitted to FN.
“She is a genius,” Ortiz shared. “The shoes she picked for me ranged from Rainbow to Brian Atwood. My character Hilda had the best shoe collection ever. Whenever she gave me a pair of shoes, I immediately fell into my character — that is where it all started. I have to give it up to Pat because she always delivered incredible shoes.”
Ortiz said that her shoe collection continues to grow from her new series on Lifetime.
“I actually stole these,” she confessed, pointing to her sparkling silver sandal heels. “Stuart Weitzman from ‘Devious Maids.’ ”
The star-studded affair also included appearances by “Magic Mike” star Adam Rodriguez, “Ballers” actor Omar Benson Miller, actresses Brooke Lewis, Genevieve Goings, Liana Mendoza, and luxury boutique LABNo 25 founders Ruta Labrence and Anda Auksmukste.
