It was a memorable night for “Queens Gambit” star Anya Taylor-Joy on Sunday at the Golden Globes.
The actress not only took home the award for Best Actress In A Mini-series or Motion Picture for TV, she also made headlines for her fashion. Though she appeared virtually over Zoom during the awards, stylist Law Roach made sure fans and followers saw her incredible, custom-made Dior gown.
Taylor-Joy dressed in a green lurex draped dress with matching belt and evening coat that took 300 hours to make.
The gown was paired with matching glittering green pointed-toe pumps and jewels from Tiffany & Co.
Later in the evening, Taylor-Joy was seen twirling on Roach’s Instagram, wearing another custom Dior design.
For this look, she wore a steel blue satin cuir strapless dress designed by Dior creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri with a pair of matching blue satin heels.

During the awards ceremony, which took place in a hybrid format, streaming live from Los Angeles and New York, Taylor-Joy was also nominated for her role in “Emma” for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy Motion Picture category. She lost to Rosamund Pike.
Stylist Roach had a busy evening, dressing both Taylor-Joy and Tiffany Haddish.
Haddish presented at the show, wearing a metallic chain-link gown by Alberta Ferretti paired with custom Brian Atwood heels.
