Nordstrom and Ugg are taking their relationship to the next level with a new limited-time pop-up shop for this holiday season.
According to the department store chain, Ugg has taken over The Corner shop space at its New York City flagship from now through Jan. 12. Dubbed, “Ugg at The Corner,” the shop will feature a curated selection of styles across women, men’s and kids including signature Ugg footwear, outerwear, sportswear, socks, robes and cold-weather accessories.
Nordstrom added that the store will offer exclusive launches of classic Ugg styles covered in Swarovski crystals, as well as special colorways of the Tasman and more models in Driftwood on Nov. 29, in Antelope on Dec. 7 and in Mushroom on Dec. 14.
And throughout the pop-up’s duration, Nordstrom said that the shop will offer special services to celebrate the partnership. Starting on opening weekend, the first 200 customers to shop will receive a limited-edition chestnut and white cookie, a twist on the favorite New York black and white cookie, created by NYC institution Zabar’s. The shop will also offer a digital photo booth and complimentary gift-wrapping from Dec. 14 through Dec. 24.
Olivia Kim, senior vice president of creative merchandising at Nordstrom, said in a statement that the retailer is “thrilled” to bring Ugg to New Yorkers through this pop-up.
“We’ve created a destination for Ugg loyalists and customers alike to discover exclusive styles, ensuring a shopping experience that’s as special and thoughtful as the gifts they’re seeking, making it a must-visit this holiday season,” Kim noted.
“We’re honored to continue our long-standing partnership with Nordstrom and create Ugg at The Corner,” Tracy Paoletti, vice president and general manager of Ugg North America at Deckers Brands, added. “A space that celebrates self-expression, community and products that make you feel good inside and out. The Corner will be one of New York’s ultimate gifting destinations to find iconic, new and exclusive styles that capture the joy of unboxing Ugg.”
The shop is part of an ongoing series of pop-ups and brand takeovers at the Nordstrom NYC flagship in a dedicated space on The Corner of 57th Street and Broadway. Ugg takes over for Jordan Brand, which occupied the space from Oct. 3 through Nov. 10. During its time at The Corner, Jordan placed a spotlight on its women’s offering and hosted a program series called “Girl Talk.”
Other brands that previously showcased in the space included Skims, Bode and Sanrio for Hello Kitty’s 50th anniversary.
This pop-up comes as Nordstrom continues to highlight its footwear roots this year with the “Make Room for Shoes” campaign. First announced in February, the initiative comes to life through monthly partnerships with some of the industry’s best footwear brands. So far, the retailer has highlighted brands such as On, Birkenstock, Sam Edelman, Larroudé and Dolce Vita.
This news also comes one day after Ugg released its second campaign with Post Malone. In this next chapter between the duo, the second spot highlights Ugg’s Heritage Pull-On TrailGazer boot for men in a short film dubbed “Post v. Post.”
