Nordstrom’s latest edition of its Make Room for Shoes program is here.
According to the department store chain, it has teamed up with Vionic for the month-long event that gives Nordstrom customers the chance to discover the Caleres-owned footwear brand in stores.
From now through Feb 2, consumers will be able to shop Vionic’s Walk Max sneaker and Walk Max Wanderer sandals as well as the Uptown Skimmer in knit and the Uptown loafer.
This partnership emphasizes Vionic’s dedication to wearable well-being, with styles engineered for stability, energy return, and everyday versatility, with a perfect balance of design and innovation.
“We’re thrilled to bring Vionic’s innovative technology and unparalleled support to Nordstrom customers,” Kate Kibler, senior vice president and general manager of Vionic, said in a statement. “This partnership highlights the natural synergy between our two brands—both dedicated to offering style, quality, and exceptional experiences. Together, we’re introducing a new standard in footwear that combines modern design with the transformative benefits of Vio Motion technology.”
“Vionic’s launch as part of Nordstrom’s Make Room for Shoes underscores our commitment to offering our customers the best brands in the market,” Tacey Powers, executive vice president and general merchandise manager for shoes at Nordstrom, added. “We can’t wait for customers to experience the perfect blend of comfort and style Vionic is known for.”
This latest edition of Make Room for Shoes comes just months after Nordstrom said its focus on its footwear roots this year is paying off.
On the company’s third-quarter earnings call in November, Pete Nordstrom, president of the Seattle-based department store chain, told analysts that its Make Room for Shoes campaign was one of the contributors to its growth in the period.
First announced in February, the Make Room for Shoes initiative comes to life through monthly partnerships with some of the industry’s top footwear brands. So far, the retailer has highlighted brands such as On, Birkenstock, Sam Edelman, Larroudé, Dolce Vita and Ugg.
In the third quarter of fiscal 2024, Nordstrom reported that net sales increased 4.6 percent to $3.35 billion versus $3.2 billion in the same period in fiscal 2023. Company comparable sales increased 4 percent. Analysts were expecting less than a 1 percent sales gain.
