As reported by FN on Saturday, Kith is opening its next store in Malibu this week.
On Tuesday, the New York-based retailer confirmed more details on the store, slated to open on July 4.
Located at 23465 Civic Center Way just off the Pacific Coast Highway near the famed Malibu Lagoon State Beach, Kith’s latest outpost will carry its in-house, collaborative apparel, accessories, and footwear for men, women, and kids. Customers will also be able to enjoy an in-shop Kith Treats bar.
As for its design, the flagship facade displays a dark color palette, with dark cedar siding and brass Kith signage. Entering the store, customers are greeted to a light, calming atmosphere reflective of its sunny beach setting. The space is elevated with light travertine floors and walls, rosa aurora counters, light ash wood, mint-colored velvet curtains and more. Greenery is delicately placed throughout to add more life to the area. The Kith Treats bar continues the calming and elevated feeling with white statuario marble walls and floors, rosa aurora marble countertops, custom stainless steel bar stools, and ash wood headers.
In celebration of its new Malibu location, Kith Treats will reintroduce the Caramel Soba Cha Swirl in collaboration with Nobu. The limited-edition special showcases the esteemed Japanese culinary group’s signature Soba Cha Brownie infused with Kith Treats’ signature vanilla ice cream, alongside a variety of flavors. The Caramel Soba Cha Swirl will be served exclusively at Kith Malibu for a limited time only.

On Saturday, the retailer confirmed the store opening on social media. “We are proud to announce the opening of our newest flagship store – Kith Malibu,” the company wrote in an Instagram post. “To commemorate this new flagship, we created a special capsule of apparel and accessories, inspired by the city of Malibu and our new flagship. This offering includes a hoodie, crewneck and range of tees as well as a 6-panel cap.”
Kith added in the caption that this capsule serves as a preview of its new flagship and will be available this Monday exclusively on Kith.com, EU.Kith.com and the Kith App.
This new opening marks the third Los Angeles area store for the Brooklyn-based company, which has an outpost inside of Fred Segal’s Sunset Blvd. location as well as a standalone flagship store in Beverly Hills.
Kith has been on a store opening streak in the past year, as part of a robust retail strategy. Earlier this month, Kith opened the doors to a new Kith Kids flagship in Dumbo, Brooklyn. This marked the second kids’ concept to open and is the third Kith store in Brooklyn, the New York borough where the company got its start.
In May, Kith entered the South Korean market with a four-story store, which included a Kith Treats bar and a Sadelle’s restaurant.
Other recent openings included Kith’s first women’s standalone store in New York’s bustling SoHo neighborhood late last year. Kith — the winner of the 2023 FN Achievement Award for Retailer of the Year — opened the store at 644 Broadway. This location should look familiar to longtime fans of Kith: it’s the home of the first Manhattan Kith flagship, which opened in 2011 as a shop within the then Atrium store.
