LONDON — Burberry is scoring an international hat trick, first with its Avenue Montaigne store in Paris followed by a new store in Austin, Texas, and a pop-up in Orange County, Calif.
The store in Austin opens inside The Domain, a high-end shopping mall that’s been nicknamed Austin’s second downtown.
The space will feature Burberry’s spring 2024 collection across menswear, womenswear and accessories designed by chief creative officer Daniel Lee and will be the latest step in its current retail evolution to homogenize all of its stores in the same style.
The sculptor Casey McCafferty, who often uses wood, stone and metal in his work, has created special fixtures for the store, while British artist Tom Atton Moore, famed for his rugs, has been commissioned to produce pieces for the new space.

Lee’s Burberry bags take center stage at the store with a core focus on the Knight bag, which comes in calf leather, suede or shearling. The bag’s clip hardware is a nod to the equestrian knight design from 1901. The Rocking Horse bag is the other crown jewel in the store, which is located on 11410 Century Oaks Terrace.
On the West Coast, South Coast Plaza center has become home for a Burberry pop-up until March 14, highlighting the brand’s signature trenchcoat offerings, bag lines and its reimagination of the Burberry check.
The pop-up takes its cues from the brand’s explorer heritage with tent-like interiors and camping-style furniture, which have played a key role in the way Lee has staged his fashion shows during London Fashion Week.
