Wolverine Boots is teaming up with country music artist Jordan Davis on a new year-long partnership.
According to the 142-year-old boot and clothing company, fans of the award winning, multi-platinum singer/songwriter can now shop the “Jordan Davis Picks” collection online and in select retailers across the country featuring his favorite Wolverine boots, apparel and accessories.
For Davis, selecting the product that appears in his edit was the most fun part of the new partnership. “I went through probably 20 to 30 pieces that Wolverine sent over,” Davis told FN in an interview. “Getting to see the product and giving them input on what works for me was one of the most fun things about the partnership.”
Davis said he was looking for items that he could wear outdoors on his Tennessee farm as well as while he is touring and playing shows. “Wolverine has been a boot that I’ve been wearing for a long time,” the “Buy Dirt” singer said. “My partnership with Wolverine is a special one. Growing up, I watched my dad, and his dad do what they love – whether it was fishing or refurbishing furniture at the shop – all with their trusted Wolverine boots on. I learned a lot about life from them, and I take pride in living out the lessons and skills they taught me both while I’m performing on stage and working at my farm.”
Lauren King, senior director of marketing at Wolverine boots and apparel, told FN that this activation is just the beginning for the brand’s partnership with Davis. In the fall, the musician will launch a custom collection with Wolverine that will complement events aimed at giving back to the skilled trades community, King noted.
“Our work with Jordan Davis perfectly reflects our values at Wolverine,” King said. “As a celebrated musician, Jordan shares our commitment and passion for inspiring others to pursue their crafts, giving them the confidence to do what they love and call it work.”
But for now, Davis is looking forward to his fans discovering this first part of the project. “This is exciting for me because this partnership is the first I’ve done that really fired up my dad, which I think says a lot,” Davis said. “Wolverine is a brand that has been around the family for a long time, so this is a full circle moment. It feels real, it feels authentic, and I’m so grateful for it.”
