Adidas is making a major splash ahead of the Super Bowl with its new activation featuring brand partner Patrick Mahomes on the Sphere in Las Vegas. The ad starring the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback began appearing on the exterior of the arena on Tuesday and will continue throughout the week.
The larger-than-life activation displays Mahomes outfitted in Adidas and showing off his arm, as well as striking some poses with an Adidas football. The star athlete can even be seen playing catch with a younger version of himself.
Adidas took to Instagram today to share the activation with fans who can’t see it in person. “You’ve done this a million times. It’s only a game of catch,” the caption read.
Mahomes — who signed with Adidas in 2017, the same year he was drafted 10th overall by the Chiefs — has already won two Super Bowls so far. On Sunday, the celebrated team will take on the San Francisco 49ers.

Adidas and Mahomes’ most recent release was the launch of the Mahomes 1 “Away” sneakers last fall. “This colorway is dedicated to all those fans who make the trip or have their roots in Kansas City. There’s much more to come next year as my partnership with Adidas continues to grow,” Mahomes shared at the time.
“Patrick is an integral part of the Adidas family — we are excited for the future as we continue to co-create training and performance apparel and footwear with him,” said Chris McGuire, VP of Sports Marketing at Adidas, in a statement last fall.
