Timberland has named Nina Flood as global brand president.
Flood, who has held several leadership positions in her 20-year career at VF Corp., has been in the role at Timberland in an interim capacity since November. The VF veteran assumed control of Timberland after the departure of Susie Mulder, who was the global brand president since April 2021. (In early December, Nobull hired Mulder as COO.)
Timberland announced the news of Flood’s new role via LinkedIn late on Tuesday.
The brand stated in her updated corporate bio that Flood will be responsible for driving sustainable, long-term growth for the Timberland brand “while fostering an inspiring and inclusive culture and engaging consumers across the Americas, EMEA and APAC regions.”
Flood joined the Timberland brand in February and served as the VP/GM for Timberland EMEA. Here, she oversaw the entirety of the EMEA business across both its wholesale and retail channels. Prior to joining Timberland, Flood was president of the VF Global Packs portfolio, which included Eastpak, JanSport and Kipling. She was tasked with developing the portfolio approach, advancing strategic priorities for the brands and regions, and returning them to profitable growth. Her career with VF started in 2003, when she served as VP of marketing of Nautica.
The leadership shuffle at Timberland comes at a time of struggle for parent VF. Amid a weak fiscal second quarter earnings report and forecast, Timberland sales fell 7 percent during the period (10 percent on a constant currency basis). WWD reported that investors could be interested in snapping up Timberland as VF spins off some labels.
