After Departing Timberland, Susie Mulder Joins Nobull as COO

The move comes several months after private equity firm Impact Capital invested in the performance training company.

Not long after departing Timberland, Susie Mulder has landed at Nobull.

Nobull has announced today that Mulder, who most recently served as global president of Timberland, has joined the performance training company as its COO, effective immediately. Mulder will report to Brent Hastie, executive chairman and acting CEO.

“Not only does Susie have the right industry experience for Nobull, but she shares the same no ‘BS’ mentality of the brand and the team,” Hastie said in a statement. “There’s huge potential for Nobull to inspire a broader community on their journeys to become better every day. Susie’s expertise and competitive attitude will be instrumental in helping us get there.”

In the role, Nobull said Mulder will lead the company’s overall strategic direction and manage day-to-day operations.

“I feel like my personal and professional life has all been in preparation for this incredible opportunity at Nobull,” Mulder said in a statement. “Nobull has already built a highly credible training brand and I couldn’t be more excited to work with the team to accelerate the growth of the business and make the Nobull brand synonymous with people working hard every day to be better versions of themselves.”

Mulder, who joined Timberland as global brand president in April 2021, left her role at the brand in November. Prior to Timberland — which has been challenged amid overall weakness at VF Corp. — the exec held leadership positions at women’s apparel brand Nic+Zoe and was a partner at global management consulting firm McKinsey & Co. for 15 years.

The appointment of Mulder comes months after Impact Capital, the private equity arm of sports drink brand Bodyarmour founder Mike Repole’s family office, announced that it had invested in Nobull. In July, Nobull stated Repole will partner with the athletic brand’s co-founders Marcus Wilson and Michael Schaeffer as executive chairman with the goal of accelerating its “growth as the leading training brand in the world.”

Hiring Mulder, Nobull said in today’s statement, is a step toward setting the brand up for the next phase of growth.

“When Michael and I built this brand in 2015, we wanted to share our mindset with the world through training,” Wilson said in a statement. We have already seen some amazing strides from our Impact Capital partnership and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome Susie to the team, whose passion and expertise will be instrumental in taking Nobull to new heights.”
