Oofos has hired Liz White for its newly-created chief marketing officer role.
In this role, Oofos stated White will use her expertise in “combining data analytics and creative storytelling” to shape its marketing strategies. What’s more, the active recovery brand said she will oversee its global marketing efforts, as well as the direct-to-consumer business.
“We are excited to bring someone with Liz’s experience and singular focus on the consumer to lead the Oofos marketing organization,” Oofos co-founder and chief executive officer Lou Panaccione said in a statement. “Liz brings a unique background in fashion and entertainment, as well as extensive experience driving brand growth, so we are thrilled to have her lead our strong marketing team already in place.”
White is a marketing veteran with more than 20 years of professional experience. She most recently served as chief customer officer for omnichannel plus-sized apparel brand Ashley Stewart. And before joining Ashley Stewart, she held the same title at FullBeauty Brands, a plus-size apparel company.
Her resume also includes nearly a decade at Time Inc., where she held several senior leadership roles. She ended her time with the company as its vice president and general manager for digital, which included People, Entertainment Weekly and StyleWatch.
“Oofos has enormous potential as the undisputed category leader in recovery footwear, at a time when more consumers are seeking out brands that truly make a difference in their lives,” White said in a statement. “I’m thrilled to join the brand while it is well positioned for continued growth, but also because of its impressive history of driving community impact through initiatives like Project Pink. The product, team, strength of the mission, and the relentless pursuit to make products that make you feel better are what drew me to Oofos.”
