Clarks CEO Jonathan Ram has been reelected as chairman of the Sports & Fitness Industry Association (SFIA) board of directors.
Ram is a footwear and fashion industry veteran, and was announced as the next CEO of Clarks in March 2022 and assumed the role a month later. Prior to Clarks, Ram served as the group president for global activewear at Hanesbrands Inc., and held several roles at New Balance over 16 years. His final title at New Balance was EVP of North America.
Three other board members were reelected, including BSN Sports president and CEO Terry Babilla; Adidas associate general counsel and VP of government affairs Kurt Tandan; and Rawlings Sporting Goods CEO Mike Zlaket.
SFIA also announced three new additions to its board, including Technogym SVP of marketing Isabel Coscia; Implus LLC chief digital commerce and brand development officer Ryan Cruthirds; and Asics North America president and CEO Koichiro Kodama.
The election took place at SFIA’s annual meeting on Dec. 14, 2023, and the aforementioned new and reelected board members will serve three-year terms, from 2024-2026. Ram and the new and reelected board of directors members began their terms on Jan. 1.
Those reelected and new to the SFIA board will join the 13 current members. The board is replete with big names at footwear industry giants, including Brooks president and COO Dan Sheridan; VP of New Balance Sports, footwear and apparel creation Ray Hilvert; and Nike VP of North America government and public affairs Jennifer Bendall.
