The annual South by Southwest festival held in Austin is swapping Texan heat for a cool British summer from June 2 to 7 in London’s Shoreditch.
The creative and tech festival will be a first of its kind to Europe and will consist of conferences, music and screen festivals, as well as stand-alone programs.
Tickets will be going on sale from Thursday with a 25 percent discount until Dec. 19 with general admission ranging from 488 pounds and platinum passes at 975 pounds.
More than 500 tickets will be distributed to local charities and community groups in East London.
The Austin festival has previously been attended by Meghan Markle, Olivier Rousteing, Sydney Sweeney, Ryan Gosling, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and more.

SXSW London will be held across the capital by taking over venues, galleries, clubs and spaces around Shoreditch such as Truman Brewery, Village Underground, Rich Mix, Shoreditch Town Hall, Shoreditch Church, Christ Church Spitalfields, Dream Factory (Chance Street and Rivington Street), Kachette, Bike Shed Moto Co., Shoreditch Studios/Over the Road and Protein Studios.
Last month, the festival revealed that it began accepting session proposals for the conference, music and screen programs with a deadline that closes on Nov. 29.
Thousands of proposals have been submitted from more than 50 countries.
Fairchild Media Group, parent of WWD, Beauty Inc, Footwear News and Sourcing Journal, will take part in the festival with several activations.
Billboard will be SXSW London’s first official partner next year and will host a night of music with performances from renowned artists.
The music show will be ticketed to the general public with a limited number of tickets for SXSW London pass holders.
“We’re thrilled to partner with SXSW London for the inaugural 2025 event. This collaboration underscores our shared commitment to supporting and celebrating the global music community. Billboard will bring a night of live music celebrating world-class artists, both established and on the rise, and will offer fans a truly unique experience within the festival,” said Mike Van, president of Billboard.
Katy Arnander, director of programming for SXSW London, said the festival will work closely with “local stakeholders to ensure the festival creates a positive impact for the community it will take place in.”
“Shoreditch is renowned as a vibrant center for creativity and technological innovation, as well as for its diversity, energetic youth culture, global cuisine and nightlife,” she added.
