Rebecca Minkoff to Join Season 15 of ‘The Real Housewives of New York City’: Reports

Rebecca Minkoff is joining the next season of “The Real Housewives of New York City,” according to Deadline.

In Tuesday’s report, the entertainment magazine cited sources close to production for the tip that stated the footwear designer will be filming with the cast in an unspecified role for season 15.

Deadline added that Bravo has yet to confirm if Minkoff will be holding an apple with the rest of the cast in a full-time capacity or if she will take on a “friend of” role when the reality series returns later this year.

FN has reached out to Minkoff’s representatives for comment.

In February, FN caught up with Minkoff in an exclusive interview to discuss the relaunch of her eponymous footwear range. In the interview, the New York-based fashion designer noted that after historically licensing out the footwear category to external partners, she has brought her namesake shoe collection in house for the first time.

Sunrise Brands acquired the company in 2022 in a sale reportedly valued between $13 million and $19 million. The company also owns Donald Pliner, Current/Elliott, Equipment, Joie and more.

The new fall 2024 collection features 30 styles across 75 SKUs and showcases standout constructions with Minkoff’s downtown, rock inspired design elements seen throughout the line.

Minkoff launched footwear in 2010 via a license with Schwartz & Benjamin. The two companies worked together until Minkoff inked a new deal with the Camuto Group for her footwear category in 2017. The Camuto license remained until the sale of the company in 2022.

The designer is no stranger to Bravo, as she has been a guest judge on “Project Runway” throughout the years. Other reality TV appearances include E!’s “So Cosmo” and as one of the investors in Lifetime’s “Project Runway: Fashion Startup.”

Bravo recently announced that the entire cast of the RHONY reboot, including Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Erin Lichy, Jenna Lyons, Jessel Taank, and Brynn Whitfield, will return for the new season.

The designer recently interviewed Lichy in her podcast “Superwomen with Rebecca Minkoff.”
