Ateljé 71 Launches Spring ’16 Shoe Campaign

The images star model and artist Langley Fox Hemingway, and the concept was influenced by the idea that there are "no boundaries between life and art."

Ateljé 71 is celebrating its spring ’16 campaign.

The images, released this week, star model and artist Langley Fox Hemingway. The shoot was directed by Philip Warner Patton, and the project came to life at the brand’s New York City studio in Soho.

The concept was influenced by the idea that there are “no boundaries between life and art.” A red brushstroke, a new trademark for the brand, was also incorporated into the campaign.

Ateljé 71 launched for spring ’15 and is named after the Swedish word for “artist space.” The brand’s prices range from $200 to $400.

“Our footwear is in a similar [artistic] vein,” David Giordano told FN of the initial launch. “Our laser-cut soles and straight structural lines give a nod to modernism’s shapes and forms.”

Giordano added, “The shoes are focused on how we see the future. In a world of emphasis on well-being, each style has flexible soles, soft leathers and lightweight constructions, and the shoe is designed to make it easy to get on or off.”
