Yara Shahidi Celebrates Her Iranian and Black Roots With a New Adidas Collaboration

Yara Shahidi‘s debut Adidas collaboration is hitting shelves soon.

The 21-year-old multihyphenate teased her forthcoming project with the German sportswear giant on social media last week, including a video of her wearing a collaborative track top on an Instagram post along with a caption that reads “Y’all knew this was coming #collab.” Yesterday, Shahidi took to Instagram once again to confirm that her Adidas collaboration is dropping tomorrow.

The highlight of Shahidi’s inaugural Adidas collection is the release of her Superstar collab. She reimagined the iconic shell-toe shoe by dressing the leather upper in a cream hue combined with gold suede Three Stripes branding on the sides and the text “Idihahs Array” above. Adding to the look is an Arabic lace jewel at the forefoot and Iranian-inspired panels on the heel. According to the product description, Shahidi’s Superstar collab channels “’60s vibes with elements of Shahidi’s Iranian heritage and Black roots.” Also included in the collection are a track top and a satin tracksuit.

Last year, Adidas tapped Shahidi to star in its “Change Is a Team Sport” campaign to celebrate the iconic Superstar silhouette’s 50th birthday. The campaign brought together the brand’s top endorsers across the worlds of music, fashion, sport and art.

Shahidi’s Adidas collection is releasing tomorrow at Adidas.com and at select retailers. The retail pricing for the capsule ranges from $110 to $180.
