Although Vans sneakers are generally designed to be worn for skateboarding, the brand’s latest collection is made specifically for the kitchen.
Vans has teamed up with popular apron brand Hedley & Bennett for a new sneaker collection that features three new colorways of the Sk8-Hi shoe and one iteration of the Slip-On Low.
The Hedley & Bennett x Vans Sk8-Hi collabs wear simple white, black forest, and charcoal color schemes predominantly on the 8 oz. canvas and suede uppers that have the ability to repel liquids and dirt. The shoes also feature Hedley & Bennett’s special “&” branding on the heel, custom UltraCush footbeds for comfort and multicolored slip-resistant outsoles. The lone Hedley & Bennett x Vans Slip-On Low comes in a stealthy black-based makeup while the colorful slip-resistant outsole sits below.
Hedley & Bennett also provided a pro-tip to shoppers in the product description, which said “While we know you are never going to want to take these off, this collection is not a traditional work shoe. Please be advised these are not CSA or ASTM certified and are not guaranteed for daily kitchen use. Please wear at your own risk.”

The Hedley & Bennett x Vans collection is available now at Hedleyandbennett.com for the retail price of $80-90. At the time of publication, the Hedley & Bennett x Vans Sk8-Hi in “Black Forest” has sold out while the remaining pairs are available in limited sizes.
This isn’t the first time that Vans dropped a kitchen-inspired footwear collection. The skatewear brand teamed up with Chris Cosentino of “Top Chef Masters” in March for a collaborative “Made for the Makers” pack, which included new iterations of the iconic Slip-On and Old Skool shoes.
