A favorite Nike Air Max 90 style is making a comeback this month.
The sportswear giant announced on the SNKRS app that the Nike Air Max 90 “Bacon” is hitting stores again on Air Max Day, which is an annual celebration of the iconic Air Max franchise that’s observed on March 26.
The Nike Air Max 90 “Bacon” first released in 2004 and was designed in collaboration with former New York City-based sneaker boutique Dave’s Quality Meat. The theme of the store played off the aesthetic of an old-school butcher shop, and for this collab, the style was meant to represent the look of a pork belly slice.
The shoe features a combination of colors including white, sail, pink, red and brown that cover the leather and suede upper reflecting bacon in various stages of cooking. Capping off the look is a sail and brown Max Air-cushioned midsole and a brown rubber outsole. Also included in the packaging are anatomical arch supports and four sets of shoelaces for personalization.
The latest reissue of the Nike Air Max 90 “Bacon” will be released via the SNKRS app at 10 a.m. ET and at select Nike Sportswear retailers on March 26. The shoe will come with a $140 price tag.
