Alessandra Ambrosio Is the Picture of Summer in a Tropical Shirt, Floral Shorts & Thong Heels

While some stars are already prepping for fall, Alessandra Ambrosio is keeping her sights set on summer.

The former Victoria’s Secret Angel stepped out and about with her 12-year-old daughter Anja on Monday during a stroll around Venice Beach, Calif. For the outing, the mom of two opted for a warm weather-ready look in a crop top, floral shorts and a tropical button-up blouse.

When it came down to footwear, the model broke out yet another twist on her favorite silhouette: thong-toe sandals. This pair, in particular, included a square-toe front, tapered strap and embossed uppers, all set atop a lower heel. Paris Texas offers a similar silhouette that is currently discounted from $480 to $252 at Saks Fifth Avenue.

Thong-toe footwear also returned to the celebrity scene last year as one of its biggest trends and has already stuck around in 2021. Be it classic flip-flops or thong-toe heels, the minimalistic silhouette falls in line with the aforementioned ’90s-inspired revitalization of fashion. Stars like Kendall Jenner along with Meryl Streep, Rihanna and Jennifer Lopez amongst other major names are continuing to support the trend in even cooler temperatures.

Along with her title of a former Angel, Ambrosio has appeared in ad campaigns for Schutz, Jordache, XTI Shoes and Swarovski, among other brands. The model also launched her own swimwear line, Gal Floripa, last year with her best friend Gisele Cória and sister Aline Ambrosio.

When it comes to her personal shoe style, the Brazilian personality can be found in a variety of looks, including casual sneakers by Common Projects and Golden Goose as well as bold picks like cherry red Giuseppe Zanotti heels. As for her thong-toe sandals, they quickly became one of Ambrosio’s go-to shoes of choice throughout quarantine in addition to her big toe pairs. She owns multiple designs of classic flip flops from Havaianas of course, previously showing off all-black and other tan colorways, as well as a pair from Brazilian eco-friendly footwear brand Green Flip Flops, constructed with plant-based plastic.
