Amid the challenges brought about by the coronavirus pandemic, Nike is seeking to motivate both everyday and elite athletes through the final installment of its “You Can’t Stop Us” campaign.
The sportswear giant unveiled today a new film titled “You Can’t Be Stopped,” which highlights resilience and perseverance as the COVID-19 health crisis continues to change the ways people stay active. The video features a collective of world-renowned athletes, including three-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka, Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant, Olympic fencer Ibtihaj Muhammad, New York Liberty guard Sabrina Ionescu and more.
“Behind everything we do is a ‘why.’ You can do it to raise your game or to raise the whole game. You can do it for your goal … or you can do it for the common goal,” viewers will hear in the video. “Sometimes you just gotta prove you can do it again, again and again.”
It added, “Do it to set the bar, set a record. Do it to set an example. Do it to break a sweat, break a perception, or do it to break free. Do it to continue a legacy, or do it to begin one. When you do it for your ‘why,’ you can’t be stopped.”

The first chapter of Nike’s “You Can’t Stop Us” campaign launched in March, followed by the LeBron James-narrated “Never Too Far Down” film in May. Two months later, it debuted a short clip coinciding with the return of the NBA season, and in late August, it released “You Can’t Stop Sisters” featuring tennis superstars Venus and Serena Williams.
As government-mandated lockdowns led to the closures of gyms and stadiums, Nike leveraged its digital ecosystem to provide tools that can help its members work out and stay fit. The Swoosh has introduced weekly YouTube exercises, made its premium Nike Training Club content free in the United States and led digital training classes in partnership with the NFL, among other offerings.
The Beaverton, Ore.-based company added that it plans to debut new content from elite athletes, as well as new yoga and HIIT workouts in its NTC app and new audio-guided runs through its Nike Running Club app. It will also host live workouts in major metropolitan cities around the world and release new episodes of its Trained podcast.
