Courteney Cox made a case for pool slides as she ventured out to the local farmer’s market with friends in Malibu, Calif.
Spending her Sunday afternoon shopping for produce and fresh goods, the “Friends” actress opted for a more casual ensemble that teamed a heathered blue T-shirt to faded navy joggers and a matching blue face mask.
On her feet, Cox opted for a surprisingly affordable shoe look courtesy of Adidas. Debuting in 1972, the brand’s signature Adilette slide silhouette features recognizable Three Stripes across its thickened strap, coming in a classic black and white colorway. The sport-inspired style includes a contoured footbed for a comfortable step with a quick-dry lining for post pool wear. Similar iterations to Cox’s striped sandals retail for as low as $20 at Adidas.com.
Slides are yet another sandal silhouette considered to be less high-fashion in the industry yet more and more stars are including them into their looks this season. Along with a revitalization of traditionally “ugly” sandals like pairs from Birkenstock and Teva, comfort footwear is quickly becoming all the rage amongst increased appeal of relaxed trends and comfortable style during the pandemic.

Courtney Cox is no stranger to a relaxed Sunday style. The “Cougar Town” alumna frequents the farmer’s market on most weekends, showing off her mix of ever-chic pieces for the laid-back setting. In July, she debuted two takes on trending looks including a classic black tank matched to mom jeans and Adidas Stan Smith sneakers on July 19. Before that, the actress stepped out in a knee-sweeping shift dress with a similar wide-brim cap, all teamed with on-trend big toe sandals with a securing cross-foot strap.
During her time spent as Monica Gellar on the beloved sitcom “Friends,” Courteney Cox was a master of peak ’90s and early 2000s trends. Her minimalistic appeal roped in everything from mom jeans and leather jackets to spaghetti-strap slip dresses and oversize pantsuits for red carpet occasions. Flash forward to modern time and Cox is still incorporating that same “less is more” aesthetic with seasonal hits of high-rise jeans, cool sneakers and little black dresses.
