Adidas‘ next collaboration draws inspiration from a galaxy far, far away.
Following on the heels of last month’s Star Wars x Adidas “Lightsaber” pack, the second project between the athletic giant and Lucasfilm — called “Space Battle” — will feature three of Adidas’ most popular running styles: the Ultraboost S&L, the Ultraboost 19 and the futuristic Alphaedge 4D. Even better? Fans won’t have to wait light years: The kicks are scheduled to drop this Thursday.
First up is the X-Wing Starfighter-inspired Ultraboost S&L, which features a color palette reminiscent of the ship’s gray and orange artillery, as well as glow-in-the-dark elements. Additional details include iconic quotes from the movie franchise on each heel’s webbing, such as “Stay on target” and “The force will be with you, always.”
The Millennium Falcon starship is immortalized on the Ultraboost 19, which showcases a gray and blue color scheme that’s elevated with a metallized cage and metallized heel counter. Similar to its Ultraboost counterpart, this version includes phrases, such as “Jump to lightspeed” and “Never tell me the odds.”
Completing the collection is the Death Star-inspired Alphaedge 4D shoe, a nod to the galaxy’s destructive space station. Glow-in-the-dark accents are fused within a knitted upper that’s paired with a 4D midsole. Similar to the aforementioned styles, slogans “That’s no moon” and “The Power of the dark side” appear on the heel tab.
The latest Star Wars x Adidas “Space Battle” pack drops on Adidas.com and at select Adidas retailers on Nov. 21. Both Ultraboost styles will retail for $180 each, while the Alphaedge 4D will sell for $300.
